We are coming down to the final stretch and we are so excited to finally meet our son or daughter! This has been the most amazing journey we have ever experienced and we can only imagine how amazing it will be when we meet him or her.
So much has happened in the last month with our family. On March 13th, the school I teach at threw Michael, the baby and I our first baby shower! It was a surprise and it was so thoughtful. We were taken away by all the love and time put into this shower for us. I will miss them all so much, but know there will be many more great times together. We had our rescheduled shower on March 28th, it was such a great weekend spent with family and friends. On March 30th, we closed on our new home and started moving in right away! Thanks to our family and friends who came over to help with putting things away! By Thursday we were moved in and had all rooms decorated! Can you say EXCITED! It was a long process, but we knew this was the home for us and our family and we weren't giving up!
My last day of school was last Thursday, it was such a mixed emotions day. I have been preparing my little kindergarteners and their parents for the transition since February, so it made the day for all of us more enjoyable. I was so blessed to have piloted the new full day kindergarten program and to have worked with amazing little angels, like my students and their parents.
Michael has been busy hanging drapes in the babies room and making sure everything is PERFECT for his or her arrival. He amazes me, with all he can accomplish and all the love he puts into it, while doing it. Even if he did go crazy with the registering gun:) hahahah.
Aspen has transitioned well to the new house, for those of you that know how worried Michael and I were about him. We even find him laying on the babies rocking chair! He has warmed up to me again and has actually enjoyed laying on the baby(belly). He is so intuative and protective, it is so cool to see all of these amazing aspects in a dog.
We are also waiting on the arrival of our new neice or nephew! My sister Sarah, brother in law Shawn and Easton are expecting their new addition anyday now! We are two days apart in due dates:) We can't wait for our families to grow together and have our children grow up together like we did. They are going to be best buddies! I hope to be as great of a mom as my sisters are to their children and we feel so grateful for their guidance and modeling.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and start to Spring! It is a season of new beginnings:) Next time we write, we will be Mommy and Daddy!
