Welcome to this beautiful world Kam Graysen! Kam was born into our eagerly awaiting family on August 6, 2011 at 4:32 am weighing 7lbs 8oz and 19 1/2 inches long! After 41 1/2 weeks of waiting for this angel to join us we were not surprised that Kam was going to take the long slow ride coming into this world:) Kam began his journey into the world at 3:50am Friday Aug 5, 2011. Kam, Mommy and Daddy got to come home to big sister Lilliana on Sunday Aug 7, 2011, but were back visiting the hospital that Friday. Kam was admitted to Pediatrics at the hospital with a fever from a virus. These little angels are so resillient and strong! He amazed us! We returned back home this last week and have been thouroughly loving our first week and weekend at home as a family of 4!
Kam is 8 lbs 1 oz and 21 inches long already. He loves to eat...very fast eater. Sleeps like a champ most nights is asleep by 8 and then doesn't wake for another feed until 3:30am. He def spoils Mommies sleeping expectations. Kam loves his hands, doesn't like to have them swaddled and sleeps with them over his eyes, his face or head. It is too cute!
Lilliana is enjoying being a big sister to Kam. She loves to wake him up in the morning to hold him and helps Mommy and Daddy get Kam's diapers, changing him, bathing him and when he cries she says "Kam's sad, he is crying, Mommy hold him." She loves to just lay next to him and talk to him and sing to him. She introduces him to everyone and says "you want to meet my baby." She is a little Mommy already. He is a very blessed little boy to have Lilliana as his sister. Michael and I love watching her interact with Kam and kiss him all over, even if her touches are alittle rough, we know she has good intentions. Lilliana is such a sweet, caring little girl that wants everyone to be happy. She likes to be polite saying please and thank you when asking for things. Or she will tell Michael "Daddy thank you for the special lunch." Michael and Lilliana have had pretty bad allergies this week and Lilliana will tell me to go hold Daddy or snuggle Daddy and I on the couch. This once was an easy task but now with a second baby to feed(usually right when Lilliana wants or needs something) has become a pretty hard task, but we try our best to make it happen.
She has an amazing imagination and loves to make up things to play and reinact. Lilliana loves to paint, build things with playdoh, play with her horses, babies, reading books and exploring outside.
We feel so blessed to welcome Kam into our family and are enjoying every minute with these two angels!
xoxoxo,
Michael, Amanda, Lilliana, Kam and Aspen (love writing this:))))
