Wow! Kam is 2 months old and his big sister is 2 1/2 years old! Can she really be almost 3!
It has been such a blessing having Kam join our family. He is smiling so much and just loves to coo at us. Lilliana calls it "Kam's language." The other day she told Michael he needed to talk to Kam in his language, it was hysterical. She is very patient and helpful with Kam. She loves to help change his diapers and put on creme, give him bathes and play peek a boo with him. She has been calling herself teacher Lilliana and she will read to all of us and to Kam while he is in his swing. Kam adores Lilliana, he gets this twinkle in his eye whenever she is around and the biggest smile comes across his face.
We traveled on our first plane ride 2 weeks ago with two kiddos to Arizona to visit Kam's Godparents Kylee and Ryan Knauss, who are expecting their first little boy very soon. Lilliana also got to visit her friend Coco, while Mommy and Daddy got to visit with Matt and Julia as well and see their home. It was a great trip, just not long enough! After Arizona, we flew to California for Ken and Sara's wedding! We also got to stop at DisneyLand when we got to California, since we were so close. It was such a fun experience for Michael and I to be able to share that with Lilliana. Her excitement was priceless and brought us to tears. Lilliana got to meet Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale. We went to Fantasyland and saw the princess castle, rode Dumbo and the Carosoul. It was an amazing time and are looking forward to DisneyWorld next year for a longer visit!
Lilliana, Mommy and Daddy were honored to be apart of Ken and Sara's wedding and to have been blessed to have watched their love blossom over the years and we are so happy for them. Lilliana was supposed to walk with Mommy down the isle but she wanted to walk with the ring bears Ben and Noah and she did it! They all held hands and walked down the isle, we were very proud of her and actually shocked, its a big thing for a 2 year old and can be intimidating but she totally aced it! The best part of all was hearing her friend Coco yell for her, just like Lilliana did for her cousins before. It was the sweetest. Lilliana and Kam did so amazing for the many flights and time change. We were thinking back to Lilliana and how late she was staying up and the different times for meals and snacks, and how great she did. It was an amazing first flight and vacation with the 2 kids.
We have been enjoying the Fall weather... not really it has been in the 80's and not a cloud in the sky the past 7 days! The leaves are still changing and falling and it is beautiful. It was a perfect week and weekend for pumpkin patches and leaf pile jumping...and the Chicago Marathon. Mommy, Daddy and Lilliana spent the weekend enjoying the outside weather with our town Fall Fest, where Lilliana got to ride horses and paint her own pumpkin. We enjoyed every night this beautiful weekend by having a bonfire and cookout with Lilliana and dancing outside on the patio. Daddy and Mommy are enjoying these last few days or weeks of warm weather by having late nights by the fire too! It is one of our favorite pastimes and now with that little crisp air at night it makes for the best evening together. Tonight we get to share it with Pape and Grammi who are coming up to see us all.
Lots of Love!
Michael, Amanda, Lilliana, Kam and Aspen
