Happy 40h Birthday Michael! June was an exciting family filled month for us. Our love tanks are super full from all the love from family and friends who celebrated Michael's birthday weekend with us. Lilliana, Kam and I planned a weekend of all things "Daddy" and it definitely was. We first brought in all of Michael's family that could make it and Amanda's parents. We got Michael's best friend and amazing mentor Chris to come in from Philly and our friends Ken, Sara and Baby Brady drove from Florida to join in celebrating this great milestone. Not to mention we had some of the most amazing friends that we are so fortunate to have living close by attend. We started with family and friends arriving on Thursday and going to Greasewood Flatts, a favorite of Daddy's with the live country singer, laid back food and outdoor picnic table seating. The kids also love seeing the chickens, donkeys and roosters. They get super excited when we pull in. Friday we headed to Lake Pleasant where we rented a Houseboat called Out of the Blue for the weekend. We spent Friday afternoon with family out on a pontoon swimming and seeing the beautiful scenery. Saturday we planned a day of golf for Daddy with his friends and a Sunset Cruise Dinner with the most special people. If was an unforgettable day and night. Sunday we spent out on the boat playing in the water with kids and having breakfast with family. The weekend concluded with a pool party cookout at our home with all of Michaels favorite foods, drinks and even favorite cake flavors. The kids picked out Michaels cake and Lilliana picked superman bc she said Daddy is superman:) Love it. The weekend ended but we spent the whole month of June and into July with family. It such an amazing month filled with so many great memories.
Lilliana is growing into such an amazing little girl. She is such a caring, selfless person and loves our Lord like its her best friend (we think he should be):) She loves just being with us as a family and playing together. She loves Kam and they have the best friendship and coolest playtime's. We are so happy for them as siblings. She is such a good friend and family member she loves to make her friends feel good and she is their biggest fan. She is very silly and loves to giggle and make other laugh by being super silly. Lilliana loves to swim and can swim and dive all on her own. Thank you cousin Matt and Mallory for being so patient and teaching her. She admires you. She loves to jump in and swim underwater. Lilliana loves puzzles and is getting good at mastering really difficult puzzles. We just introduced her to educational apps and she is loving her daily ipad time to play games. Michael and I even get into the games:) Lilliana loves to play imaginary play with her dolls, Kam and friends. She loves pretending she is a Doctor or Veterinarian. She enjoys cooking meals with Mommy and Daddy and her favorite is cutting up the fruit and avocados. Lilliana will be attending preschool this Fall at Scottsdale Christian Academy on Monday's, Wed, and Fridays from 8:30-11:30 and we are super excited for her and this learning community. Lilliana is such an angel and we feel blessed that she was chosen for us.
Kam is super strong willed like Lilliana was at this age. If something doesn't go as he wanted or liked he def is going to let you know. He is independent and a go getter. He is super ty but such a lover at the same time. Him and his sister couldn't be more alike at this stage. He loves to throw balls...everything to be more exact. He has an amazing arm but beware if your in his throwing range your likely to get nailed by his fastball. He loves playing trains, he could play them all afternoon and is even getting the sounds down to all the machines. Kam likes puzzles and playing in the sensory tubs. Kam enjoys riding his tricycle and running into things. He loves to spray people or things with the hose Kam loves playing with his sister and misses her when she is out with Daddy or with a friend. Kam likes going to Gymboree class with Mommy and enjoys going to the train park. He talks all day about it:) Kam is talking so much and loving that he can converse with his sister, Daddy and I. He has been leading us in dinner prayer..."Jesus the Lord Love Thank you." He cups is hands over his month and when we sit down for dinner Kam yells Amen Yay! Kam turn. Meaning he wants to lead us in prayer.
Life is great in Arizona. First summer is underway and getting close to our year anniversary of moving here. The summers def aren't as brutal as you would think My parents got to experience 110 degrees and where pleasantly surprised at how tolerable it was. Dry hair is def different than humidity.
Hopefully you can find our surprise in the pictures below:)) We are all so excited and thank God every minute.
