Happy 1st Year Lilliana! What a special weekend we had leading up to Lilliana's birthday. We celebrated during the week with Nana, GrandBob and Gigi arriving. On Friday Daddy planned a special day for Mommy for her 30th birthday filled with Ballons, Mommy's favorite homemade cake and burgers on the grill! Daddy put Mommy to work early in the morning before everyone was up, finding 30 hidden roses around the house. What fun it was as we found every rose and reminced about that year. Saturday was Lilliana's birthday party. We were in Winnie the Pooh heaven:) Mommy and Daddy went alittle overboard but that is love and we were so excited for it to be so special and the best for Lilliana. Lilliana had her Grandparents there, her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and special friends who she has known since she was 4 months old! Lilliana got to taste her first cake made homemade carrot cake by Mommy and Daddy, it was very fun to make and she seemed to enjoy it:) We had such a special day with Lilliana. Thank you to Uncle Shawny, Aunt Sarah, Easton and Gavi for letting us celebrate on Gavi's first birthday. We really appreciate your flexibility and selflessness for Michael's family.
This past weekend we celebrated Gavin's first birthday with a BUG party! Aunt Sarah did such an amazing job planning his birthday, with cool pots and flowers, bugs in the grass for the kids to find with their bug catchers, and we even got to make our own mud pudding with worms and bugs! What a fun time we all had with family, we couldn't think of a better Saturday afternoon and night! Even Lilliana was having so much fun we didn't even know it was past her bedtime! Gavin even had a special lunch and dinner with his date Lilliana.
Lilliana is our perfect gift from God. She is still immitating everything. On Sunday we went to our favorite little breakfast place, the owners are husband and wife Mimi and George. We'll we pulled in and when she saw the cafe she yelled Mimi! So cute and all through breakfast she kept calling for her we think Mimi loved it! Today Mommy had a Dr visit and Lilliana was saying Hi Dr. Lilliana is very independent and knows what she wants. She has a strong personality and is very caring. She waves, smiles and yells hi to everyone she see's. She is fearless and smart. Too smart for our good. She knows before we get to the car that she is going to be strapped down and poor thing tries to do everything and anything to get away so she isn't put in that seat. We don't blame her. But, we are excited about our new car seat! Lilliana is enjoying getting in the car, riding in the car, facing forward and sitting up. Mommy and Daddy are very happy drivers too:) Maybe we won't have to sing Old McDonald at the top of our lungs anymore:) When her car gets stuck or she pushes it into the wall she won't give up until she and only herself gets it unstuck. The smile on her face and chuckle she gives is priceless and you know that she is so proud of herself. We try to guide her and want to jump in and make it easy for her, but we are trying to respect her personality and the person she is. It is sometimes sosososososo hard. Michael and I are looking forward to our 4 year anniversary on Thursday and sharing our special weekend with Lilliana. Next up....AUNT KRISTIN AND UNCLE ANDY"S WEDDING!!!
