Congratulations to Aunt Kristin and Uncle Andy on their beautiful vow of marriage to each other. We were so honored to be apart of your day and will always stand by you both.
The past week, we were in Houston, Texas enjoying where Aunt Kristin and Uncle Andy live, enjoying time with family, swimming with Lilliana and being apart of their special day. Lilliana enjoyed giving all her cousins MAJOR hugs and can't wait to see them all again soon:) She loves them so much and is still calling out their names:)
Lilliana is 13 months old now and literally running around! It is so much fun watching her explore everything and being so curious about the world. She wants to go, go, go. We were all joking, saying that we think she gets about 5 miles of walking in a day:) She isn't waiting around for anyone and if she wants it she is going to get it or try her best to get it. Her confidence and perserverance is inspiring. Resturants aren't an option anymore for us, which is fine by us because home is where we would rather be. Yet, they are entertaining, Lilliana goes around the resturant stopping to wave at everyone and see what they are doing and what they are eating. It is so funny! Michael and I both jump up to walk around with her, cause it is so much fun watching her. We are nothing short of exhausted by 8:00 but wouldn't want it any other way.
Lilliana is repeating everything we say and even very challenging words. At Aunt Kristins wedding Papa was taking Lilliana on a walk by the pool and was telling her about the things around her and he said "there is an Umbrella" and Lilliana repeated Umbrella right back to him! He was pretty amazed that she would try to muster that word off her lips. She likes the word ball the best and can spot a ball a mile away, dogs too. She says words like airplane and points to the sky, balloon, light, fan, avacado, banana, blueberry (buyo buyo), water(wa wa), Aspen (AHAHA) and the little neighbor boy Max:) Bella (her cousin), Nana, Pop, Papa, Gram, Gigi, GrandBob (GBOB). She is starting to put words together too, almost into 2-3 words. She says Gama boo boo, for Grammi's hurt finger. Dada ball when we go to watch Dada at team night. She isn't afraid to try new things and feels confident doing them and that makes us smile. At the grocery store this morning while getting snacks for our Mommy group today at our home Lilliana was pointing to things she wanted and saying them like banana, blueberry, ball for an orange, green when I picked up a cucumber. Michael and I can only say that she likes to talk like her Dada and I:) Love is all they need.
Lilliana likes to help us with laundry and says socks when she pulls a sock out of the dryer. She has even found a way to boost herself into the dryer and sit in there while we pull the clothes out to fold. She is such a helper and feels so proud doing it. Since knowing that about her we decided to have her start putting her dirty clothes into her hamper and after the first time showing her she has done it everytime and gets this huge smile on her face and giggles all the way to the bath. It's the cutest thing ever. She also likes to drink out of Mommy's water bottle, not her cool sippy cups and she enjoys brushing her teeth with us, but with a grown up tooth brush. She wants to be just like us, she is 1 going on 16, heheheh.
We are so excited for the relaxed summer ahead. Michael and I keep talking about how we don't have anything to do for 8 weekends in a row! That is big for us and we love that. Michael keeps trying to forget his birthday coming up and Aspen's too! Our boys will be 37 and 6! Lilliana and I have some fun surprises up our sleeves for our main squeezes:)
Have a wonderful start to the summer and many blessings to you and your family.
xoxoxo
Michael, Amanda, Lilliana and Aspen
